Selecting the switch-off modes

In this menu item, you can choose between permanent operation of the gauge or auto-shut-off
after 90 seconds of inactivity.
Procedure:
1. Press Arrow Up key twice; "Options" appears on the display
2. Press OK key; "Switch-off mode" appears on the display
3. Press OK key; "Auto switch-off after 90 sec." or "Permanent operation" appears
4. Use the arrow keys to select the desired mode
5. Press OK key for confirmation; your choice, e. g. "Permanent operation selected", appears on
the display for a short time, followed by the start screen with the four dashes – – – –

Beeper on/off

Via this menu item, you can choose between silent operation of the gauge or a short beep after
each reading and operation.
Procedure:
1. Press Arrow Up key twice; "Options" appears on the display
2. Press OK key; "Switch-off mode" appears on the display
3. Press Arrow Down key; "Beeper" appears on the display
4. Press OK key; "Beeper ON" or "Beeper OFF" appears
5. Use the arrow keys to select the desired mode
6. Press OK key for confirmation; your choice, e. g. "Beeper switched ON", appears in the
display for a short time, followed by the start screen with the four dashes – – – –
11.3 Unit of measurement µm/mils
With this menu item, you can choose the unit of measurement. The readings can be displayed
using the metric system (µm/mm) or alternatively the imperial system (mils).
Procedure:
1. Press Arrow Up key twice; "Options" appears on the display
2. Press OK key; "Switch-off mode" appears on the display
3. Press Arrow Down key twice; "Measuring unit" appears on the display
4. Press OK key; "µm/mm unit" or "mils unit" will appear in the display
5. Use the arrow keys to select the desired option
6. Press OK key for confirmation; your choice, e. g. "Unit µm/mm selected", appears on the
display for a short time, followed by the start screen with the four dashes – – – –

Welcome screen on/off

With this menu item, you can deactivate the welcome screen which appears after powering on.
Procedure:
1. Press Arrow Up key twice; "Options" appears on the display
2. Press OK key; "Switch-off mode" appears on the display
3. Press Arrow Down key three times; "Welcome screen" appears on the display
4. Press OK key
5. Use the arrow keys to select the desired mode: "Welcome screen ON" or "Welcome screen
OFF"
6. Press OK key for confirmation; your choice, e. g. "Welcome screen switched ON", appears on
the display for a short time, followed by the start screen with the four dashes – – – –
