Display

In addition to the reading and the menu structure, the display shows other useful information icons
and notes. The following characters and icons appear on the display:

Function keys

Key to switch the device on and off
The arrow keys have several functions. Depending on the menu item you are
currently in, by using these keys you can:
- browse through the main menu and submenus
- set calibration values, limit values and zero offset value
- browse through statistical and single readings
- select a character when entering a file name
- select a file
Use this key to:
- confirm the selection of a menu item, e. g. Statistics and then reach the
corresponding submenu, e. g. Transfer of statistics
- confirm a setting, e. g. Measuring unit µm
- confirm the calibration or limit value settings
- confirm a character when entering a file name
- confirm a file name if pressed longer than 2 seconds
This key enables you to:
- go back to the next higher menu level
- delete the last reading immediately after the measurement
- delete readings and statistics quickly (see chapter 7.6)
- abort a setting, e. g. when setting the limit values
- delete a character when entering a filename
- abort the entry of a file name if pressed longer than 2 seconds
Bluetooth connection established
a red or empty battery symbol indicates low battery voltage
zero calibration has been carried out
zero calibration has begun but not yet finished
one-foil-calibration has been carried out
one-foil-calibration has begun but not yet finished
two-foil-calibration has been carried out
two-foil-calibration has begun but not yet finished
limit values are set
setting the limit values has begun but not yet finished
reading exceeds or falls below the limit values
Automatic FN identification is active
Ferrous mode is active (for iron/steel)
Non-Ferrous mode is active (for non-ferrous metals)
unit of measurement is μm
unit of measurement is mm
unit of measurement is mils
