For macOS

Go to the "Disk Utility" app on your Mac > select "Erase", choose the "APFS" file system format in the
pop-up menu, then click "Erase".
Tip
If you intend to use the formatted drive on both macOS
to choose the "ExFAT" file system format.
macOS generally does not require drive partitioning. lf you have partitioning requirements, please

refer to the Mac user manual.
For Linux
®
Go to "Applications" > "Disks", select the external drive and click "Format Partition". After the format-
ting is completed, please select "Mount selected partition". Once mounted, the new partition will be
displayed in the file manager as a separate drive.

The Linux disk partition operation is complicated. lf you need help, please contact customer service.
