Safety instructions

- Before using the appliance for the first
time, read and observe these operating
instructions and the accompanying bro-
chure: Safety information for brush
cleaning units 5.956-251.0.
- Read and observe the separate Operat-
ing Instructions of the included charger.
- In addition to the information contained
in the operating instructions, all statuto-
ry safety and accident prevention regu-
lations must be observed.
- You may recharge the battery using
only the original charger provided with
the appliance or a charger approved by
KÄRCHER.
- Check battery pack for damage prior to
every use. Do not use damaged battery
packs.
- Do not use the battery pack if dirty or
wet.
- The battery voltage must match the
voltage indicated on the type plate of
the charger.
- Do not charge the battery pack in explo-
sive atmospheres.
- Protect the battery pack against heat,
sharp edges, oil and moving unit parts.
- Do not cover the battery pack during
charging and keep the ventilation slits
clear.
- No metal parts may touch the contacts

of the battery pack, risk of short circuit.

- Do not open the battery pack. Get re-

pairs done only by authorised experts.

- Use the battery pack only with the ap-

proved charger.

- Move only clean and dry battery packs

on to the battery holder of the charger.

- Do not charge damaged battery packs.

Replace damaged battery packs.

- Do not store battery packs along with

metal objects; risk of short circuit.

- Do not dispose off battery packs by

throwing them into fire or through

household waste.

- Avoid contact with fluids oozing out of

defective battery packs. Rinse with wa-
ter in case of accidental contact with flu-
id. Consult a doctor if fluid comes into
contact with eyes.
