WARNING: EXPLOSIVE GAS!
Batteries generate explosive gas (hydro-
gen) during normal operation and even
greater quantities during recharging.
Avoid the formation of flames or
sparks.
Make sure that the plug is un-
plugged from the socket before
connecting or disconnecting the
cable clamps.
Provide adequate ventilation during
charging
Always wear safety goggles closed at
the sides, acid-proof safety gloves, and
acid-proof clothing.
Never use the battery charger with dam-
aged cables or whenever the charger has
been subjected to impact or damaged.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, by its service
agent or similar qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.
Never position the battery charger on flam-
mable surfaces.
Never place the battery charger and its
cables in the water or on wet surfaces.
Battery charger connection
Connect red charging clamp to positive
(+) battery terminal and black charging
clamp (-) to negative battery terminal.
If the battery is installed on a motor vehicle,
fifirst connect the clamp to the battery termi-
nal that is not connected to the bodywork.
Afterwards, connect the second clamp to
the bodywork at a point far from both the
battery and the petrol pipes.
Plug the plug into the socket to begin
charging.

To stop charging the battery. In the following
order, cut off the power supply, remove the
clamp from the bodywork or the negative
(-) terminal, and remove the clamp from the
positive (+) terminal.
Disposal
Do not dispose of this equipment as normal
household waste at the end of its life cycle.
The user is responsible for disposing of this
electrical equipment in collection points des-
ignated for disposal and recycling of electri-
cal equipment or contact the shop where you
purchased the product. This provision only
refers to disposal of the equipment within the
European Union (WEEE).

Charging a battery
¾Connect red charging clamp to positive (+)
battery terminal and black charging clamp
(-) to negative battery terminal.
¾Plug the plug into the socket to begin
charging.

The LED "C' (steady) + 'D' (flashing):
lights up whenever the clamps have
been connected to the battery with
reverse polarity. Invert the connection.
¾Select, with the "Set" button the charge
voltage required by the battery and one of
the following functions. Fig.3
¾Suitable for 'WET' batteries: Sealed, with
liquid electrolyte inside. Low maintenance
or maintenance free (MF), "EFB"; "AGM",
"GEL".
