7.7 Using rhythms

This instrument provides 255 rhythms for your selection (from
000 to 254).
To select a desired rhythm:
1� Press the RHYTHM button on the right control panel (F). The
LED display (C) shows RHYM. The default rhythm is "000
Hard Rock"�
2� Press the [-] button to select previous rhythm, or [+] to
select next rhythm on the right control panel (F).
3� Alternatively, enter 3-digit rhythm code on the right control
panel (F). The corresponding rhythm code appears on the
LED display (C).

NOTICE Rhythm codes 000 to 092 are listed directly on
the keyboard. Rhythm codes of 093 to 254 can be found in
"Appendix IV - Rhythm Codes" on page 19 in this manual.
To play a rhythm:
Press the START/STOP button on the left control panel (B) to
start rhythm immediately.
To sync a rhythm with a key:
1� Press the SYNC button on the left control panel (B). The LED
display (C) shows SYN and 4 beat points flashing at the same
time. However, the rhythm does not start immediately.
2� The rhythm is in sync and plays when you hit any of the 1-19
keys on the left-hand side of the keyboard.
To fill-in:
To insert an interlude into the rhythm at any time press the
FILL-IN button on the left control panel (B).
Stop the rhythm:
Press the START/STOP button on the left control panel (B) to
stop the rhythm immediately.

7.8 Using metronome

This instrument provides 4 metronome settings for your
selection. The metronome produces a sound at regular intervals
to mark time. Use the metronome function to practice playing at
a desired regular tempo.
To start the metronome:
1� Press the METRONOME button on the left control panel (B).
The LED display (C) shows the metronome oscillating. The
metronome automatically starts with a 1/4 beat.
2� To stop the metronome press the START/STOP button on
the left control panel (B) or press the METRONOME button.
The metronome on the LED display (C) stops oscillating.
To select a metronome mark:
» 1/4 beat: Press the
METRONOME button on
the left control panel (B) once.
The LED display (C) shows the
metronome wind-up and 1 beat
point flashing.
» 2/4 beats: Press the
METRONOME button on
the left control panel (B) twice.
The LED display (C) shows the
metronome wind-up and 2 beat
points flashing.
» 3/4 beats: Press the METRONOME button on the left control
panel (B) 3 times. The LED display (C) shows the metronome
wind-up and 3 beat points flashing.
» 4/4 beats: Press the METRONOME button on the left control
panel (B) 4 times. The LED display (C) shows the metronome
wind-up and 4 beat points flashing.
To adjust the metronome volume:
Adjust metronome volume level
from 1 to 16 (1 is lowest and 16 is
highest). The default volume is set
to level 12.
1� Press the [-] button to decrease
volume, or [+] to increase
volume on the left control
panel (B).
2� The LED display (C) shows RC-
VOLUME and corresponding
metronome volume level.

7.9 Auto single chord

Single chord function makes it simple to produce major, seventh,
minor and minor seventh chords by pressing a minimum number
of keys on the chord keyboard area (keys 1 to 19 from the left).
To activate auto single chord:
» Press the SINGLE CHORD button on the left control
panel (B). SIN appears on the LED display (C).
» Press the START/STOP button on the left control panel (B)
to play a rhythm.
» In the chord keyboard area (1-19 keys), play a single chord
according to the single-finger chord rule (see scales on
Fig. 21). Chords played in this area are recognized and
accompanied automatically.
» To deactivate the single chord function press the
SINGLE CHORD button on the left control panel (B) again.
SIN disappears from the LED display (C).
