9. Connecting External Devices

CAUTION Risk of product damage!
» Switch off all the electronic devices, including this
instrument, before making any connections. Set all volume
levels to minimum.
» To output the instrument's sound to an external device,
switch on this instrument first, then an external device.
Reverse this order before disconnecting any external device.

9.1 Audio output

Connect this instrument to an external audio output device such
as amplifier, speaker, stereo device, mixing console or recording
device.
1� Plug one end of 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo audio cable (not
included) into the PHONES/OUTPUT socket (J).
2� Plug the other end of the audio cable into the AUDIO IN or
AUX IN socket of the external audio device. If needed use
suitable audio adapter (not included).

9.2 Audio input

Connect this instrument to an external audio input device such
as amplifier, smart phone, MP3 or CD player.
1� Plug one end of 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo audio cable (not
included) into the AUDIO IN socket (L).
2� Plug the other end of the audio cable into the AUDIO OUT
or AUX OUT socket of the external audio device. If needed
use suitable audio adapter (not included).

9.3 Connecting USB drive

This instrument is equipped with a UDISK MUSIC PLAYER to
play music in MP3 format. This function lets your creative side
out as you add your own melodies or rhythms on top of the
background music.
1� Connect USB drive with up to 32GB capacity (not included)
into the UDISK port (M).
2� Use the buttons on UDISK MUSIC PLAYER on the bottom
control panel (H) to control the playback. Available options
are described below.

3� Switch the instrument off before disconnecting the USB
drive to avoid data loss.

10. Cleaning and Maintenance

NOTICE
» Switch the product off before cleaning.
» During cleaning do not immerse the electrical parts of the
product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product
under running water.

10.1 Cleaning

» To clean the product and the keyboard stand (Q) wipe with a
soft, slightly damp cloth.
» Wipe the product dry after cleaning.
» Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive
scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.

10.2 Storage

» Before storage clean dust and debris off of the keyboard and
cover it with piano cover or blanket.
» For long term storage, s tore the product in its original
packaging, in a soft case or a hard-shell case in a dry area.
Keep away from children and pets.
» If you do not have a soft case or a hard-shell case for the
keyboard, storing horizontally in a sitting position is the best
practice�

10.3 Transportation

Secure the product when transporting in a vehicle to prevent
turnover and damage. Use line or ratchet tie-down if necessary.

11. Disposal (for Europe only)

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE) laws aim to minimise the impact of electrical
and electronic goods on the environment and human
health, by increasing re-use and recycling and by
reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill. The
symbol on this product or its packaging signifies that this
product must be disposed separately from ordinary household
wastes at its end of life. Be aware that this is your responsibility
to dispose of electronic equipment at recycling centres in order
to conserve natural resources. Each country should have its
collection centres for electrical and electronic equipment
recycling. For information about your recycling drop off area,
please contact your related electrical and electronic equipment
waste management authority, your local city office, or your
household waste disposal service.

12. Battery Disposal

Do not dispose of used batteries with your
household waste. Take them to an appropriate
disposal/collection site.
