Deep cleaning

EL Deep cleaning is highly recommended and will be suggested by the app after 3 months of use or before each
cartridge change. To deep clean your Withings U-Scan Reader, follow these steps:

1. Launch the Cleaning Tutorial from your device settings

2. Use the U-Scan toilet clip to remove the device from the toilet.

3. Pour the provided cleaning detergent from the pouch and room temperature water into the Withings U-Scan

Station, following the level line indicated.

4. Plug in the Withings U-Scan Station.

5. Place the Withings U-Scan Reader in the correct position inside the station and leave it for 3 hours and 30
minutes to complete the cleaning process.
6. Once the cleaning completed, remove the Withings U-Scan Reader from the station and rinse it under running
water at room temperature. Launch the rinsing process from the app. The device will pump water, and the pro-
cess is finished once the pump stops. You will receive a confirmation on your app. Withings U-Scan Reader will
purge its intern water 20 minutes after.
7. Dry the device using a kitchen towel or paper towel. Avoid toilet paper, as it may block the collection point.
8. If needed, follow the instructions to change the cartridge.
9. Place the device back in the toilet.
Storing the Withings U-Scan System
Before storing the device, follow the deep cleaning and rinsing instructions written above, following
the in-app process. You can then store the Withings U-Scan Reader in a dry place, away from direct
sunlight.
