Ⅱ. Function Operation
1.LED Indicator
The indicator lights up red when transmitting, and green when receiving.
2.Channel Knob
Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the channel. Rotate the channel knob
anticlockwise to decrease the channel. The total of channels is 16.
3.Power/Volume Knob
Rotate the knob clockwise to turn on the radio. Rotate the knob anticlockwise
until hearing a click sound to turn off the radio. Adjust the volume when
rotating the knob.
4.PTT
Press the PTT and speak towards the microphone to call the other. The
indicator lights up red. The radio has a toot sound and the indicator lights up
red if the channel has no transmission frequency point. Release the PTT key to
receive. The indicator lights up green and the speaker is turned on when
receiving the signal.
5.SQL
Adjust the SQL to judge when the squelch function is turned on or off. The
higher the SQL, the larger the background noise when turning on, the farther
the communication distance, and the weaker the anti-interference ability. The
factory setting level is 5. Set the level with the SQL option of the optional
feature through the CPS. The optional range is 0-9. Set the level 0 is always on.
The higher the level, the more difficult the function turns on.
6.TOT
TOT aims to prevent radio from staying on a channel for a long time and avoid
damaging the radio due to long-term transmission. The radio will stop
transmitting and send the warning sound if the radio continuously transmits
over the TOT time (set through the CPS, OFF-30-300s). Release the PTT key to
stop the warning sound. The radio returns to the receiving state.
7.Battery Save Function
Set to enter the battery save mode. Turn on or off through the CPS to set.
Note: a. Not checking refers to the battery save mode being off. b. Check
refers to the battery save mode being on.
8.Monitor
Long press the front UP key for 2s to turn on or off the monitor function.
9.Scan
Adjust the radio channel to channel 16. The channel is a scanning channel and
scanning can begin.
Scan mode setting: Shortly press the menu key three times. The voice prompts
scanning begins. Press the UP or DOWN key to set carrier or time scan mode
manually. Shortly press the PTT key to exit.
10.Key Lock
Long press the front menu key, the voice broadcasts lock, and the key lock
function turns on. Lock the keys except the channel knob and PTT key. Long
press the menu key again, the voice broadcasts unlock, and the key lock
function turns off.
