Monitoring
It is possible
to use the built-in
loudspeakers
monitor
a recording
as it is being made (except
when
recording
with the
built-in
microphones).
The
monitor
volume
is adjusted
with
the
volume
control @
When
making
microphone
recordings
of mixed
sound
sources
it is
recommended
to
monitor
headphones.
When
the
volume
iS too
acoustic
feedback
may occur
(howling
or whis-
tling noises).
If this does happen,
press the stop
button O and start again from the beginning.
Treatment of Tapes
Never put your cassettes on top Of central heating
radiators or near any other heat source. The tape
will
become
deformed
and
useless.
Cassettes
which are not used should be put into their boxes
to prevent
the ingress
of dirt
and the formation
loops. To eliminate
existing
loops of the cassette
tape rewind
the tape a fraction
further.
Erasure and Safeguard Against Inadvertent Erasure
As you
record,

previous
recording

erased automatically.
Commercially
recorded
cassettes lock the record button @ and so pro-
tect the tape against inadvertent
erasure. You can
safeguard your own recordings on the cassette if
you
break
the appropriate
