Buttons
By depressing one of the FM station buttons @)
it
is
possible
to
setect
anyone
of
six
preset
stations.
Before this is possible the stations must be tuned
in using the tuning knobs @ which are marked
U 6 and
which
aré associated
to the sta-
ticn buttonsO. Before tuning the AFC button@
should
not be depressed
(off position).
The easiest
method
of tuning
is to first
press the
FM button O. It is then possible to tune through
the whole FM range using the tuning control @
When you have found
the desired
station
note the
reading on the frequency meter@ . Now press
button
U
and
turn
the
associated
tuning
control U 1@ until the meter@ shows the same
frequency
reading
as before.
To
check
that
tuning
position is correct
repeatedly
press the FM
button @ and the station button U 1
— there
should
be
no
difference
in
the
reading
on the
meter
This
method
may be repeated
to tune
in stations
using
the remaining
station
buttons
Automatic
Frequency
Control
on FM (AFC)
This
can
be switched
in and
out
of circuit
using
the AFC button @
(wait for a switch-on
delay of
approx.
1 sec.)
and functions
are as follows:
I. After
having
accurately
tuned
in a station
AFC will
maintain
the correct
tuning
point.
2. If
for
some
reason
the
tuning
point
should
change,
the AFC
witl automatically
correct
error.
After
having
programmed
the
FM station
buttons
the AFC may remain
switched
permanently.
Volume
and
Tone
Control
Adjust the volume with control @, the stereo bal-
ance can be altered with control O.
The sound
image
can
be acoustically
broadened
with the slider
control
e.
The bass and treble
reproduction
can
be adjusted
separately
using
the controls O and@.
Cassette Operation
Inserting the Cassette
Depress the cassette compartment button @ and
the cassette compartment @ opens. Insert the
cassette with the full spool cn the right and the
rear
ahead
into
the
cassette
compartment
then
close
the
lid. Two
parallel
tracks
corded
on the
tape
therefore
after
the

over
so that
once
more
a full
length
available
for
recording.
To distinguish
the
two
tracks
the
cassette
is marked
B. The double-track
