Short Information

The FERION 3000 smoke detector monitors a room for smoke
emissions based on the photoelectric scattered light principle.
When smoke particles enter the detection chamber, light from a
light source inside the detector strikes the particles and is
scattered onto a photodiode. Resulting from the amount of
scattered light, the smoke density is measured. If the
measurement exceeds a certain limit, an alarm is set off.
The alarm is signalled by an inbuilt siren and a red LED. A
second, white LED acts as the emergency lighting for the escape
route for easy orientation in the case of a power blackout.
Up to 40 FERION 3000 OW detectors can be interconnected to
create a radio network. As soon as smoke is detected by one of
the detectors of the network, the alarm is raised at all other
detectors, as the signal is transmitted by radio. This gives
people the chance to react faster to a distant fire, for example,
on a different floor.
Since individual wireless addresses are used, the network is
protected from false alarms caused by other wireless
transmitters in the same frequency range.
No radiation is emitted in standby mode. The radiation emitted
in the case of an alarm, or when testing the detectors, is about
200 hundred times less intense than a mobile phone.

Used batteries or old detectors are not to be disposed of
with the household waste. Dispose them according to the
guidelines for electric and electronic waste at the local
collection points.
