Connection to the compressed air system (see above)
Ensure that the pressure supplied by the compressed air system does not exceed the maximum allowable
pressure of the fastener driving tool. Set the air pressure initially to the lower value of the recommended
allowable pressure (see SPECIFICATIONS).
Preparing a tool for first time operation
Please read and observe these Operating Instructions before using the tool. Safety measures should
always be strictly followed to protect against damage to the equipment, personal injury to the user, or
people working in the area.
Lubricate the tool before use. 2 drops of air tool (PCL part no ISO 221L) oil applied directly into the
compressed air inlet (3) will increase tool life.
Affix a whip hose to the compressed air inlet (3). This will minimise any 'whip' from the hose, should it
become disconnected. PCL offer a wide range of whip hoses, please speak to the customer service team if
you have any enquiries.
The air hammer is supplied with the de-scaler attachment (6), attached.
If you require the de-scaler attachment straight from the box. Ensure you tighten the 3 x Allen bolts (7)
with a 4mm Allen key (not supplied) before use.
The de-scaler is designed primarily for vehicle bodywork. We do not recommend any other use.
To remove the de-scaler attachment (6). Ensure you loosen the 3 x Allen bolts (7). Turn the nibbler
attachment anti clockwise to remove from main body.
If you require the chisel adaptor (4) affixing. Line the chisel adaptor with the main body thread and turn
clockwise until the adaptor is secure.
Ensure you tighten the 3 x Allen bolts to ensure the adaptor is fully secure.
Place the chisel at the front of the adaptor. Pull the knurled shank back and fully insert the chisel.
Attached the tool to the air supply.
To operate the hammer, squeeze the trigger (1)
DO NOT allow tool to free run for an extended period of time as this will shorten its life.
WARNING! Disconnect air hammer from air supply before changing accessories, servicing or performing
maintenance. Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be
dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
