WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTICES
Read all safety warnings and instructions
carefully. Failure to follow warnings and
instructions may result in serious injury.
Retain all warnings and instructions for
future reference.
• Familiarize yourself with the controls and proper use before using the
device for the first time.
• Cutting elements continue to rotate for a short period of time even
after the motor is switched off.
• This appliance may only be used by children aged 8 years and over
if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of
the appliance and understand the dangers associated with its use.
Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children unless
they are 8 years of age or older and under adult supervision. The
appliance and its connecting cables are to be kept away from children
younger than 8 years. This appliance may only be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience
and/or knowledge if they have been supervised or instructed in the
safe use of the appliance and can understand the hazards arising
therefrom. Children must never be allowed to play with the appliance.
• Use the device in a properly lit and clearly visible work area. Avoid
using the device in inclement weather conditions.
• Attach the supplied protector securely before using the device.
• Check the device for signs of wear, breakage or damage before each
use. Make sure to check the cutting tool, guard and switch/lever for
proper operation. Do not use the device if the guards are damaged or
not securely attached.
• Wear functional clothing that fits tightly to the body and is not loose so
as not to cause an obstruction during operation. Remove any jewellery
or clothing accessories. Wear a safety hair net or headband.
• Always wear sturdy, slip-resistant work shoes.
• Always wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from potential injury.
• Do not use the device in damp or wet conditions, or expose it to rain.
Water entering the motor and battery components can increase the
risk of electric shock.
• Only ever charge the battery using the charger provided.
• To avoid the risk of fire and injury, only use the device with the
designated battery.
• Keep away from other metal objects and conductive materials such
as coins, paper clips, keys, nails, metal screws, jewellery, etc. These
could cause the battery to short-circuit, which may result in burns
or fire.
• Stop using the device if children, other bystanders or animals are
within the working range of 15 metres.
• To avoid injury, keep hands and feet away from the cutting tool blades
at all times.

Do not expose to moisture.
• Make sure that the cutting tool does not come into contact with objects
such as branches, bricks, stones, etc. during operation.
• Switch off the device if the cutting tool comes into contact with objects
such as bricks, stones, etc. and check it for damage and defective
parts.
• Keep sand, nails and stones away from your work area, as these can
damage the cutting tool.
• When using the appliance, keep away from electrical cables, water
pipes, etc.
• To avoid falls and injury, never work on an unstable surface or use
while standing on a ladder.
• Avoid overextending and ensure proper balance and stability at all
times.
• Always hold the tool firmly with both hands.
• Never drag the tool along the ground, as this may damage the tool,
blade or other parts.
• Always remove the battery when leaving the device unattended.
• Turn the device off and remove the battery before checking the work
area or tool, and cleaning, making adjustments, transporting the tool,
or changing accessories.
• Do not operate the device near flammable liquids, gases or dusts, as
the metal blades may cause sparks.
• If the battery is damaged, liquid may leak out. Avoid coming into
contact with this. If you do come into contact with it, rinse immediately
with water. If this liquid comes into contact with eyes, rinse
immediately with water and seek medical attention.
• Unplug the battery charging cable when not in use or when cleaning.
• Accessories not included in the scope of delivery must not be used.
Inserting and removing the battery (see Fig. #3)
Always ensure that the device is turned off
and the battery is removed before making
any adjustments or checking its operation.
Otherwise there is a risk of serious physical
injury due to unintentional switching on.
Hold the device and battery firmly when
inserting or removing the battery to avoid
damaging them, which could result in injury.
• To insert the battery, slide it along the guide rails into the device
until it locks into place and you hear a click.
• To remove the battery, press the red release button on it and
pull it out of the device.
• Always ensure that the battery is inserted correctly to avoid it
falling out.
