Soft effect. The left pedalcorrespondswith the soft pedal of an acousticpiano. On
anacousticpiano,whenyoupressthis pedalthesoundbecomes softer,astheham-
mers only hit one string.
Damper.The right-pedal correspondswith the damper or "forte" pedal of anacous-
tic piano. On an acoustic piano when you pressthis pedal, the pads(dampers)that
dampenthe vibrations of the strings are lifted. The strings of the notesthat are, and
are not played can therefore vibrate freely. When the pedal is releasedthe pads are
lowered again andthe strings of the notesthat are not played stop vibrating.

stop. When turning on, the metronome is set at 120, but you can adjust it with the
