WARNING
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance can
lead to fire and damage to property.
Connect the appliance only to a prop-

erly installed and earthed electric
socket. Do not connect to a multi-
socket extension cable or a multi-
socket plug.
Please note that the appliance is not

intended to be operated by means of
an external timer or a separate remote
control system.
Safety when handling heat-
generating appliances
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
The appliance and its accessible parts
become hot during use.
Care should be taken to avoid touch-
n
ing heating elements.
Children less than 8 years of age shall
n
be kept away unless continuously su-
pervised.
Do not touch hot parts. Always protect
n
hands with oven gloves or pot holders
when working on the hot appliance.
Only use dry oven gloves or pothold-
ers. Wet textiles are better heat con-
ductors and can cause steam burns.

If you are preparing food with alcohol,

do not leave the cooker unattended!
Food may ignite itself.
Do not cover the appliance with

these objects may become hot and
catch fire.
If a fire starts, immediately turn all di-

als/switches/buttons/sensors to 'off' or
'0' and switch off the automatic circuit
breakers and/or unscrew the fuses. To
extinguish the fire, use a suitable fire
extinguisher with the designation 'F' or
a fire blanket.
Have the appliance checked by our
n
service after the fire has extinguished.
Protecting food
CAUTION

Improper use of this appliance can lead
to damage to health.
Clean the appliance regularly and re-
n
move any traces of food leftovers im-
mediately.
Particularly with poultry and dishes
n
containing fresh egg, and when warm-
ing up meals, ensure that the food is
fully cooked through to kill off all
pathogens (e.g. salmonella).
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Acrylamide may be carcinogenic. Acryl-
amide is produced when starch is ex-
posed to excessive heat, e.g. in potatoes
(French fries, crisps/chips), biscuits,
toast, bread, etc.
Keep cooking times as short as pos-
n
sible.
Only brown the food slightly, do not al-
n
low it to brown too much.
Cut larger-sized fries and then bake at
n
a maximum of 180 °C.
