Intended use
The product is used to measure and display indoor/outdoor temperature and indoor/outdoor hu-
midity. You can see the comfort zone at the operation location at a glance in the graphic display.
The outdoor sensor included in the package transmits its measured data wirelessly to the ther-
mometer/hygrometer.
The thermometer/hygrometer is only suitable for use in dry, enclosed indoor locations; the outdoor
sensor can be installed and operated in protected outdoor areas.
The thermometer/hygrometer is supplied with power from two batteries each of the type AAA/
Micro.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating in-
structions.
Any use other than as described above is not permitted and can damage the product. In addition,
it can lead to hazards such as short-circuiting, fire, etc.

We do not assume any liability for personal injuries and material damages caused by
the improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such cases, the
warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for
safety and approval reasons (CE). Never open/dismantle it (except as described in
these operating instructions for inserting/replacing the batteries).
• The manufacturer assumes no liability for incorrect displays, or measured values
and consequences which may result from it.
• The product is intended for private use and not suited for medical purposes or in-
forming the public.
• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children. The product
contains small parts, glass (display) and batteries. Position the product so it is out of
the reach of children.
• The thermometer/hygrometer is intended for use in dry, indoor locations only. Do not
expose it to direct sunlight, strong heat, cold, dampness or wetness; otherwise it
may be damaged.
• The outdoor sensor is suitable for use in protected outdoor areas. It must not be used
in or under water, this will destroy it.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, as it could become a dan-
gerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical department or another specialist.
Battery / rechargeable battery instructions
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave any batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of batter-
ies being swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Replace flat batteries, rechargeable batteries in time, since flat or old batteries/rechargeable
batteries may leak.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries that come in contact with the skin can
cause chemical burns, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are chemically highly aggressive. Objects
or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids may be severely damaged. Therefore, keep
batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, disassembled or thrown into fire.
There is a danger of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; danger of explosion!
• Never mix normal batteries with rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix batteries/rechargeable batteries with different charges (e.g. flat and half-discharged
batteries).
• Always replace the complete set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay at-
tention to plus/+ and minus/-).
Start-up
It is possible to operate the thermometer/hygrometer and the outdoor sensor with
rechargeable batteries. However, the operating time and the display contrast, are
reduced by the lower voltage (battery = 1.5 V, rechargeable battery = 1.2 V). Since re-
chargeable batteries are very sensitive to cold, the service life of the outdoor sensor is
reduced further during the winter.
Thus, we recommend to operate both the thermometer/hygrometer and the outdoor
sensor with high-quality alkaline batteries to ensure long and reliable operation.
a) Inserting batteries into the thermometer/hygrometer
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the thermometer/hygrometer.
• Insert two AAA/Micro batteries into the battery compartment paying attention to the correct
polarity (observe positive/+ and negative/-). Close the battery compartment again. Immediately
after the batteries are inserted, the thermometer/hygrometer briefly shows all display segments.
• Then, the thermometer/hygrometer starts the search for the radio signal of the outdoor sensor;
the reception symbol (at the bottom right of the display) flashes. Do not press any button and do
not move the thermometer/hygrometer.
Insert the batteries in the outdoor sensor now; see next section.
The batteries must be replaced if the display contrast decreases strongly or the battery
symbol appears between the displayed indoor temperature and indoor humidity.
b) Inserting batteries into the outdoor sensor
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor.
• Insert two AAA/Micro batteries into the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor paying at-
tention to the correct polarity (observe positive/+ and negative/-).
• Once the batteries are inserted, the outside sensor briefly shows all display segments. After-
wards, the first measured values appear.
• With each transmission step of the outdoor sensor, the red LED on the front side of the outdoor
sensor flashes briefly (below the LC display).
The thermometer/hygrometer should now display the outdoor temperature and outdoor humidity.
• If the thermometer/hygrometer does not show any measurement values from the outdoor sen-
sor even after 3 minutes, remove the batteries from the thermometer/hygrometer and the out-
door sensor and repeat the steps described above.
The batteries must be replaced if the display contrast decreases strongly or the battery
symbol appears between the displayed indoor temperature and indoor humidity in the
display of the thermometer/hygrometer (or if a battery symbol appears in the display of
the outdoor sensor).
If the thermometer/hygrometer no longer shows any measurement values after replac-
ing the batteries, either wait for 1 - 2 hours (the thermometer/hygrometer automatically
searches for the outdoor sensor) or remove the batteries from the thermometer/hy-
grometer for a few seconds and insert them again.
c) Installation and assembly
• The outdoor sensor can be mounted in different positions using the bracket provided. The
bracket can be mounted to the outdoor sensor at the top, bottom or rear. In tihs way, the outdoor
sensor can be mounted to a horizontal as well as a vertical surface.
The outdoor sensor is intended for use in protected outdoor areas. It should be placed
so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight, since this can result in a false temperature
reading. Precipitation falling on the outdoor sensor will also lead to a false temperature
reading, since this cools the housing.
Therefore, we recommend you choose the installation place carefully so that the out-
door sensor measures the correct temperature.
Never immerse the outdoor sensor in or under water; this will destroy it!
First, fixthe bracket in the desired position using a suitable screw and wall plug, if required;
select this position so that you can see the display.
Pay attention when drilling and tightening the screws that no cables/pipes are damaged.
Insert the outdoor sensor into the bracket. The outdoor sensor has openings at the top, bottom
and sides for this purpose.
• The thermometer/hygrometer can be mounted on the wall through its rear opening using a nail,
screw or hook.
Using a fold-out stand, the thermometer/hygrometer can be placed on a flat stable surface.
Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using a suitable mat to prevent scratch marks.
