Important safety information for users

Information on the battery-operated radio drive
– Protect the exterior roller blind/radio drive from knocks during transpor-
tation, storage and installation.
– Use only the charger approved by MHZ.
– The rechargeable battery is shipped partially charged.
– Prior to installation and first use, the battery must be fully charged (takes
approx. 6 hours).
– In subsequent operation, the time required to charge the battery when
fully discharged is approx. 3 hours.
– The red LED on the charger lights up when the charger is plugged in
and indicates that charging is in progress. The battery is fully charged as
soon as the green LED comes on.
– The rechargeable battery and the radio drive are fitted as one unit in-
side the roller blind tube. A defective battery can only be removed and
disposed of together with the radio drive.
– Remote control range in enclosed buildings: approx. 20 m.
– The setting of the end positions is retained even when the battery has
discharged.
– Radio drive and control system components are not compatible with
other manufacturers' products.
– No synchronous running when using group control.
– When operating the roller blind at temperatures below or around free-
zing point, the blind may take a little longer to start moving.
– The drive indicates that the battery charge level is low by emitting sever-
al beeps each time the blind moves. The battery should be charged
immediately to ensure the unit will keep working without disruption.
– When the roller blind stops because the battery does not have
sufficient capacity, it is not yet in the range of a total discharge.
However, it should be charged as soon as possible to prevent a
total discharge.
– For the solar panel to work perfectly, it should be exposed to direct
incident sunlight and cleaned at regular intervals (at least once a
year, ideally before winter starts) with a damp cloth (lukewarm wa-
ter). If this is not done, the battery may need to be topped up using
the charger during the darker months to prevent a total discharge.

– The solar panel will usually
supply the unit with enough
power. However, if the power
does need to be topped up,
the battery can be charged
manually using the
emergency charging socket.
– The emergency charging so-
cket is located on the bottom
of the cassette.
– Connect the charger plug to
a power source. Then insert
the charging cable firmly into
the charging socket. The LED
on the charger lights up red.
