c) Inserting/changing device batteries
The device can be powered by batteries as well as the supplied power adapter.
• Open the battery compartment (14) under the device by sliding the cover in the direction of the arrow.
• Insert four new batteries type 1.5 V Baby/C with correct polarity into the battery compartment. The correct polarity
is shown in the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment again.
• If the device no longer functions or the sound is distorted, the batteries are discharged and must be replaced.
Once a power adapter is connected, any batteries that may be inserted are automatically switched off.
d) Electrical connection
The mains socket to which the power adapter is connected must be near the device and easily accessible
so that the power adapter can be quickly and easily disconnected from the mains socket in the event of a
fault.
Ensure that the voltage indicated on the power adapter corresponds to the mains voltage of your power
supply. Never try to operate the power adapter at a different voltage.
Be careful when handling the power adapters and mains connectors. Mains voltages can cause fatal
electric shocks.
Do not leave cables lying around; ask an electrician to lay them properly to prevent the risk of an accident.
• Connect the low-voltage plug of the power adapter to DC IN (11).
• Plug the power adapter into a wall socket.
Once a power adapter is connected, any batteries that may be inserted are automatically switched off.
