DMX operation
Setting the number of DMX channels and the DMX starting address
For operation with a controller with DMX512 protocol, the device is equipped with 71 control channels.
However, it can also be switched to a mode with 8, 9, 11, 12, 17 or 18 channels if different functions are
required. To be able to operate the device with a DMX controller, the DMX starting address must be set. The
starting address depends upon which DMX controller is being used. Please refer to the controller's
documentation.
1
Press the button MODE until DMX is indicated on the display. Confirm with the ENTER button. The
display indicates the DMX starting address setting (001). Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the
desired starting address.
2
Press the button MODE and then the button DOWN until Option is indicated on the display. Confirm with
the ENTER button. The menu for the DMX modes (DmxCHs) is called up. Confirm with ENTER. Use the
UP and DOWN buttons to select the desired DMX channel mode: 8CH (8 DMX channels), 9CH (9 DMX
channels), 11CH (11 DMX channels), 12CH (12 DMX channels), 17CH (17 DMX channels), 18CH (18
DMX channels) or 71CH (71 DMX channels).
3
Confirm with ENTER. When DMX signals are not received, the display will flash.
Note: Please make sure that you do not have any overlapping channels in order to control each device
correctly and independently from any other fixture on the DMX chain. If several devices are addressed to the
same address, they will work synchronously.
The LEDs of the device are divided into different segment groups, which can be controlled individually with
the following DMX protocol.
