a) Connect the connecting cable (flat side of the plug housing down)
with the current calibrator which is turned off. Make sure that the
connection is tightly made.
b) Set the "FUNCTION" switch to "CURRENT SOURCE" and the
helipot "CAL.ADJUST" to the leftmost position.
c) Set the "RANGE" switch to the right position for two decimal
positions up to 19.99 mA max. or to the left position for one deci-
mal position and 24mA max.
d) Set the "POWER" switch to "I" to turn the current calibrator on.
Following a very short initialization period, the measuring device
is ready to operate.
e) Connect the alligator clips of the connecting cable to the test
leads of the multimeter to be calibrated (turned off) and set it to
mADC measurement.
Caution
The test leads of the multimeter to be calibrated
must be connected to the multimeter's current mea-
surement input (observe "+" and "-").
f) A current flow is now indicated on the current calibrator because
the electric circuit is now closed via the connected measuring
device or rather via its shunt (if fuse ok). Adjust the desired cali-
bration current by turning the CAL-ADJUST knob to the right, e.g.
to 19 mA. The value reading is now applied at the output of the
current calibrator.
g) Turn the connected multimeter on and align it, if necessary.
Voltage source
A further special feature of this current calibrator is its capability of
being applied as high-precision adjustable voltage source. For

C "POWER"
Cet interrupteur permet d'éteindre l'appareil ou de le mettre en mar-
che. Après une brève phase d'initialisation, l'appareil est prêt à
l'emploi.
D "CAL. ADJUST"
Avec ce potentiomètre à double bouton, le courant de sortie est
réglé pendant l'utilisation comme source d'intensité et la tension de
sortie pendant l'utilisation comme source de tension. Tourner vers
la droite augmente les valeurs de sortie. Tourner vers la gauche sig-
nifie une réduction des valeurs de sortie
Exécution des mesures, utilisation
comme « source »
Mesure de courant continu en mA
Pour effectuer des mesures de courants continus de faible intensité,
jusqu'à 24 mACC max., procédez comme suit :
a) Branchez le câble de raccordement (côté plat de la prise vers le
bas) à l'appareil éteint. Assurez-vous qu'il est bien enfoncé.
b) Mettez le commutateur« FUNCTION » sur « mA MEASURE » (tout
à gauche)
c) Mettez le commutateur « RANGE » sur la position à droite pour
deux chiffres après la virgule jusqu'à 19,99 mA max. ou sur la
position à gauche pour un chiffre après la virgule et 24mA max..
