2.2 Parking assistance and boost function

The boost function can be used as soon as the e-bike is switched on.
Experiment carefully with the boost function when using it for the first time, so
as to become familiar with the amount of power the boost function supplies.
Use of the boost function at low speeds costs a great deal of energy. This
affects the range of the e-bike (see §3.5).
Parking assistance
If you bring the bike out of a cellar, for example, then the parking assistance
can give you extra support, so that you do not have to push the bike upwards
using only your own strength. If you wish to make use of the parking
assistance option, then press and hold down the + button (B) while you walk
alongside the bike.
Without pedalling, the parking assistance gives support up to 3 km/hour.
While the parking assistance is being used, all 5 LED lamps (D) are lit up.
Boost function
You can use the boost function when setting off.

In addition, the boost function can give the pedal
assistance an extra impulse while cycling. This is handy
when, for example, you are overtaking somebody or cycling
up a hill. The impulse can be felt most strongly at a low
level of assistance.
The boost function can be switched on by keeping the +
button (B) pressed down and exerting force on the pedals.

The boost function will be switched off when you stop

exerting on the pedals or when you release the + button.
While the boost function is being used, all 5 LED lamps (D)
are lit up.
The + button (B) can thus be used for the parking assistance and the boost
function. If you pedal at the same time, then you activate the boost function. If
you do not pedal, then you activate the parking assistance.
