Steam Iron
DEVICE FUNCTIONS
• The device features tempera-
ture regulation which main-
tains the chosen temperature
at a constant level while the
iron is connected to the mains
power.
• The steam button (4) can be
used to activate and deac-
tivate steam production.
When steam production has
been activated, steam escapes
from the bottom of the
iron (8) during ironing.
IRONING RECOMMENDATIONS
• Check before ironing whether the garment which is to be ironed
has a label with ironing instructions on it and follow them. Other-
wise select the ironing temperature based on the type of fabric. The
recommended temperature and steam settings are:
Label
Material
Synthetics (e.g. nylon,
viscose), silk, velvet
Wool
Cotton
Linen
Not suitable for ironing
• With blended fabrics base the temperature setting on the most
delicate blended fibre.
• Sort the textiles based on the ironing temperature and start with
the garments which require the lowest temperature.
• If the temperature on the device is reduced, wait a short while until
the bottom of the iron has cooled down and then continue ironing.
• Iron delicate textiles inside out.
• In addition, the iron can
also emit a strong burst of
steam, e.g. for smoothing
stubborn creases or textiles
which are hanging up.
• The device switches off if it
overheats.
