Safety Information

The installation and initial startup of the ap-
pliance must be carried out by an author-
ized technician and in accordance with the
installation instructions.
The flow-through heater must be installed in
a frost-free room.
If the inlet water temperature climbs above
30 °C during withdrawal, the symbol
pears since the outlet temperature can be
higher that the value set.
The tap mixer and hot-water pipe may be-
come hot.
Keep children at a safe distance.
Repairs may be performed only by a
specialist to avoid danger.
The flow-through heater is designed for
water inlet temperatures of up to 50 °C. For
increased inlet temperatures, the outlet tem-
perature can be higher than the value set.
Your New Appliance
The electronically regulated flow-through
heater warms the water while it flows
through the appliance. The heating element
of the flow-through heater is in operation
only when warm water is withdrawn.
The flow-through heater can be operated
with pre-warmed water, e.g. in combination
with a solar installation.

Operating Instructions

If the danger of scalding exists as a result
of increased inlet temperature (more than
42 °C), a warn signal sounds three times for
several seconds.
If a thermostatic mixing armature is used,
the temperature on the flow-through heater
must be set to at least 5 °C higher than on
the thermostatic mixing armature.
If
appears in the info display, please
inform customer service immediately and
give the E and FD numbers on the name
plate.
Caution!
If the inlet temperature is higher than
65 °C, a warn signal sounds until the with-
drawal is ended.

Tips for Energy Savings

The desired warm water temperature is best
set directly on the flow-through heater.
Mixing with cold water at the armature for
ap-
water that is too hot consumes unneces-
sarily water and energy.
At approx. 40 °C, the appliance operates
most economically.
Start-up after Work
on the Water Line
As a result of work on the water line, air
can enter the system of the flow-
through heater and damage it when in
operation.
Switch off the appliance (see Page 23,
"Switching Off the Appliance") or switch off
the voltage (switch off the circuit breaker in
the house electrical installation).
Turn on the hot-water tap until the air is
purged from the pipe.
Switch on the appliance (see Page 23
"Switching On the Appliance") or switch on
the circuit breaker again.

Cleaning

Simply wipe the appliance with a damp
cloth. Remove possible calcium spots with
vinegar cleaner. Do not use scouring
agents.

A Malfunction, What to do?

If
lights on the flow-through heater, call
customer service immediately. If
not appear, the malfunction is probably not in
the appliance. Please read the following infor-
mation to see if this is the case. This saves the
costs incurred by unnecessary customer serv-
ice operations.
