Forgetting the Username and Password
1. Connect the serial port of the con guration computer to the console port of the switch,
and open the HyperTerminal.
2. Power o and restart the switch. When Press CTRL-B to enter the bootUtil is displayed
on the HyperTerminal interface, press Ctrl + B to enter the bootUtil menu.
3. Enter 3 to select the Advanced menu, and then enter the password admin.
4. Select "3" in the Advanced menu to reset the software, and then return to the factory
default settings.
The Power Indicator Is Abnormal
When the power supply system is working normally, the PWR LED should always be on. If
the PWR LED does not light up, please check the following:
1. Whether the power cord of the switch is correctly connected, and make sure that it is
fully plugged into the power socket of the switch.
2. Whether the power supply matches the power required by the switch.
Failing to Log in to the Switch Web Management Interface
1. If the HTTP management user limit function is enabled on the switch and the number of
current users reaches the preset maximum, the access is restricted. You are advised to try
again later.
2. Observe the indicator status to check whether the port cable is properly connected and
whether the port is disabled. You can use another physical port to log in to the switch.
3. If the switch is managed on a local computer, make sure that the IP address of the local
computer and the switch IP address are in the same network segment.
4. Check the network connection through the Ping command.
Con guration Disappears After Power Failure
The switch con guration takes e ect in real time, but the con guration must be saved
before power failure.
