7 STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
Use a protective case for storage and transport. Store
away from water, UV radiation, mechanical stress, chem-
icals, and dirt.
8 MAINTENANCE
Standard alcohol-based disinfectants (e.g., isopropanol)
can be used when needed. Regularly lubricate metal
joints with acid-free oil or PTFE- or silicone-based prod-
ucts after cleaning. Do not immerse in liquids. Regularly
inspect for the need for maintenance or replacement.
LIFESPAN AND REPLACEMENT
9a Maximum Lifespan in Years. The maximum lifespan is
the period from the manufacturing date to the end of
usability. Products made of synthetic fibers (polyam-
ide, polyester, Dyneema
ject to aging even without use. Lifespan depends
mainly on exposure to UV radiation and other climatic
conditions. Aramid fibers have low UV resistance and
should not be exposed to prolonged sunlight.
The product may be negatively affected by certain
chemicals. Contact the manufacturer for further in-
formation.
9b Maximum Usage Period in Years. The usage period is
the time from first use to the end of usability, assum-
ing proper use without visible wear and optimal stor-
age conditions. After this period, or after the maxi-
mum lifespan, the product must be removed from
service.
Frequent use or extreme stress may significantly reduce
the lifespan.
