The influence of additives.
The oil tester is designed to measure pure oil/fat. If additives are used, the results may be distorted.
3.2.1. Operation
1. Press and release the power button. The device will turn on.
2. The temperature bar shows "Lo".
3. TPM bar shows "- - -"
4. Place and hold the sensor in the hot oil. The oil level must be between the minimum and maximum
marks on the measuring probe.
5. Press the HOLD button in measurement mode to activate HOLD mode and thus save the measurement
result on the display.
6. If the temperature bar flashes "HI", it means that the measured temperature exceeds the upper
measuring range - the temperature is higher than 200°C.
7. If the temperature bar flashes "LO", it means that the measured temperature is below the lower
measuring range - the temperature is lower than 40°C.
8. If the TPM bar flashes "LO", it means that the tested substance is not oil and is not suitable for
measurement with the tester.
• Switch off the induction pan during the measurement, as the electromagnetic field will affect the
measurement result.
• Remove fried items from the oil during the measurement and wait 5 minutes.
Clean the probe before each measurement or before the next continuous measurement.
•
• Try to avoid touching metal objects such as frying baskets, pots, as these can affect the
measurement results and the minimum distance from metal should be at least 1 cm on each side.
An uneven temperature of the frying oil can cause a measurement error. Stir the oil with the

device.
If you suspect that the measurement results contain an error due to the presence of water:
•
Repeat the measurement after 5 minutes (do not fry during this time to keep the temperature of
the fat high). If the new reading is low, measure again after 5 minutes until the reading is stable.
3.2.2. Configuration
Setting the temperature unit.
Switch on the unit, press and hold the [Hold] and [<] buttons simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds
until °C or °F appears on the display.
1. Use the arrow buttons to set the temperature unit (°C/°F).
2. Confirm the selected temperature unit with the HOLD button.
Switching the audible alarm ("ALA") on or off.
3. Use the [<] or [>] buttons to enable or disable the audible alarm ("ALA").
4. Press the HOLD button to confirm.
Enable or disable automatic switch-off ("OFF").
5. Press the [<] or [>] buttons to enable or disable automatic switch-off ("OFF").
6. Confirm the selection with the HOLD button.
Switch the alarm LED on or off.
7. Use the [<] or [>] buttons to turn the LEDs on or off.
8. Press the HOLD button to confirm.
Activate or deactivate the calibration mode ("CAL").
9. Press the [<] or [>] buttons to enable or disable calibration mode.
10. Press the HOLD button to confirm.
Reset the unit to factory default settings ("RST").
