FLIP: If the TILO™ is operated upside down, the
symbols can also be flipped over. When operating
on a tripod and a connected video recorder the
icons are back upright.
MISC menu
In this menu you can access submenus that are not
constantly needed.
Submenu PWR
BAT: The correct type (CR123/16650) should be
selected in the BAT menu (p.38) so that the battery
low warning (p.56) is displayed correctly and the low
voltage detection and related safety functions wor
properly.
FLAP: To prevent the lens cover opening up acciden-
tally e.g. in a pocket and the unit switching itself on, this
function can be deactivated here. The unit is then swit-
ched on manually by pressing keys 1+2 long (p.30).
Switching off and calibrating the device and shutter
deactivation by using the flap still remain functional
(p.38). Closing the flap switches the TILO™ off.
Submenu PIN
Secure your TILO™ reliably against loss with your
own PIN code. If this is entered incorrectly 5 times
in a row, the TILO™ will be permanently blocked.
Other users will no longer be able to use the device
and may contact us. We can then identify you via
the serial number and return the device to you. If it is
too difficult for you to enter the PIN each time before
using the TILO™, you can set a cycle number bet-
44
ween 1 and 255 in the PIN menu under CYC. With
the latter, the PIN is only requested after 255 switch-
on processes. Each time you have entered the PIN
HOG
in the PIN menu, the cycle is automatically reset and
starts counting again. According to the example gi-
ven above, the PIN would only be requested again
after 255 switch-on cycles. To avoid being surprised
by the PIN request, you can also define a warning
period WARN (0-10). If, for example, you select 5
there, a warning message „PIN" will appear on the
BUC
screen 5 cycles before the actual PIN request.
REQ – Request: Switches the PIN query during de-
vice startup on or off.
CYC – Cycle: Frequency of how many switch-on
cycles the PIN is requested after.
WARN: Number of warnings before PIN query (at
device startup).
SET – Setting the PIN: The PIN query is usually de-
activated when the TILO™ is delivered. It must first be
activated in the PIN menu under REQ. The default
PIN is set to 0000. You can enter your own sequence
of numbers in the PIN menu under SET. By pressing
button 1 or 2 a digit can be altered, by pressing and
holding button 1 it is entered (the cursor automatical-
ly advances to the next digit). Pressing and holding
button 2 erases the last digit.
Pressing and holding button 4 (1s) stores the PIN
which is indicated by „SAVED" being displayed on
the screen.
PUK
If the PIN was entered incorrectly 5 times or the entry
was aborted, a locking screen is displayed with the
message „PIN permanently locked, contact www.
andres-defence.de or enter PUK". If you press key
1 long, you get to the PUK query. If this is entered
correctly, the PIN is reset to „0000". The PUK of your
TILO™ can be found on your proof of purchase or
as a sticker in your manual.
Submenu LED
W/R/IR: Each LED color can be individually activated
or deactivated here.
FL - Flash mode:

The selected setting applies to all LED colors (p.40).
