Warning - Batteries
• Never open, damage or swallow batteries
or allow them to enter the environment.
They can contain toxic, environmentally
harmful heavy metals.
• Remove spent batteries from the product
and dispose of them without delay.
• Avoid storing, charging and using in
extreme temperatures and at extremely
low atmospheric pressures (such as at high
altitudes).
• Ensure that batteries with damaged
housings do not come into contact with
water.
• Keep batteries out of the reach
of children.
4. Setup
Open the battery compartment (10) and insert 2
AA batteries, observing the correct polarity. Then
close the battery compartment. The alarm clock is
now ready for operation.
5. Operation
5.1. Automatic setting of the time according
to the DCF signal
• Once the battery is inserted, the display
switches on. An audible signal is heard and the
alarm clock automatically starts to search for a
DCF radio signal (3).
• The DCF radio symbol (3) ashes during the
search process. This process can last between
3 and 5 minutes.
• When the radio signal is received, the date and
time are set automatically.
Note - setting the time
• If no DCF radio signal is received within
the rst few minutes of the initial setup
procedure, the search is terminated. The
radio symbol disappears.
• In the event of reception problems, we
recommend leaving the clock standing
overnight since the interference signals are
generally fewer in number at this time.
• Meanwhile, you can carry out a manual
search for the DCF radio signal at a
different location or set the date and time
manually.
Note - time zone
• The time zone is used if a country receives
the DCF time signal but the time zone does
not match German time.
• If the time shift is 1 hour, for example,
you must set the time zone to +1. This
automatically advances the clock by
one hour.
5.2 Manual setting of DCF, the time format,
time and date
• Press and hold the SET button (A) for around
2 seconds to go to Settings mode. "ON"
starts to ash. Set the following information
in sequence:
DCF ON/ OFF – 24 hr / 12 h - Time zone –
Hour – Minute – Month/Day or Day/Month
– Year – Month – Day – Language.
