Battery installation / change of batteries

5.1.

Battery installation

A) Temperature station

1.
Remove the battery case cover on the back of the temperature station.
2.
Insert the batteries while paying attention to the correct polarity ("+" positive; "-" negative).. (two 1.5 V batteries,
type AA Mignon)
3.
Put the cover back on.

B) Outside temperature transmitter

1.
Remove the battery case cover from the back of the outside transmitter.
2.
Insert the batteries into the battery case while paying attention to the correct polarity "+" positive; "-" negative)..
(two 1.5 V batteries, type AAA Micro)
3.
Put the cover back on.
In case of a change of batteries in one of the units, a new basic setting must be undertaken with
all units. This is necessary since upon being put into operation, the outside transmitter transmits a
random security code to the weather station which must be received and stored within the first 3
minutes after being put into operation.
To ensure optimal functioning and precision, it is recommended that the batteries of all units be
replaced once every year.
First insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor transmitter. Insert the batteries in the temperature station
within 1 minute after activation of the outdoor sensor. Once the batteries are inserted, all segments of the
LCD screen become visible briefly. Afterward, the room temperature is displayed. If this does not occur within
1 minute, then please remove all batteries and reinsert them after waiting at least 10 seconds.
After insertion of the batteries in the outdoor sensor, the temperature station begins to receive data from the
outdoor sensor. The outside temperature and the signal reception symbol should now be displayed on the T
on the LCD screen of the temperature station. If this does not happen within 1 minute, then all batteries have
to be removed from both units and a new basic setting from Step 1 has to be undertaken.
However, to assure sufficient signal reception, the distance between the final installation sites of the
temperature station and outdoor sensor under good conditions should not be more than 80 meters (see
instructions under "Mounting" and "868 MHz reception test").

Battery replacement display

If a symbol for low battery is shown on the LCD screen (RX or TX), replacement of batteries should be done
soon.
