Inserting/replacing the batteries

Please observe the operating instructions for the weather station, in which
order the batteries have to be inserted in the outdoor sensor(s) and the
weather station.
If the correct order is not observed, the weather station does not recognise
the outdoor sensor(s) correctly, there is no measured data displayed.
• Take the outdoor sensor out of the transparent cover downward.
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor.
Insert two batteries of type Micro/AAA with correct polarity into the battery compartment
of the outdoor sensor (observe positive/+ and negative/-). There is a corresponding
illustration in the battery compartment.
• All display elements will appear briefly on the integrated LC display of the outdoor sensor,
afterwards there will be a display for the temperature and air humidity. The LED on the front
of the outdoor sensor will start to flash (for about 10 seconds).
Within these 10 seconds, set a different transmission channel with the „CH" key, if
you operate more than one outdoor sensor (1 to 5 are possible, basic setting is „1").
Each outdoor sensor has to have a different channel number, otherwise they will
not work properly. The channel number selected will be shown on the display of
the outdoor sensor.
If you only operate one outdoor sensor, you do not have to set anything.
If no display appears, take the batteries out and insert them again with correct
polarity, actuate the „RESET" key.
If you do not actuate any key for 10 seconds, the setting is copied and a
transmission process to the base station is performed.
• The base station should only display the outdoor temperature at the selected channel.
• Select the desired display unit °C (degrees Celsius) or °F (degrees Fahrenheit) via the „°C/
°F" key.
• Close the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor.
• Slide the outdoor sensor from the bottom into the transparent cover.
Maintenance and cleaning
Maintenance or repairs are only permitted by a specialized skilled person or a specialized
repair shop.
There are no components on the inside of the product that need maintenance by you, this is
why you should never open it (apart from the described approach to insert or change the
batteries, in these instructions).
A soft cloth, slightly dampened with lukewarm water, can be used for cleaning.
Never use aggressive cleansing agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solvents since they can damage the surface of the housing or even impair
operation.
Do not spray the outdoor sensor with a garden hose or similar.
Do not press too hard on the display, this may cause scratch marks or lead to
failure of the display.
Handling
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a protected outdoor area. But do not hose down
the sensor with a garden hose or similar equipment.
Do not use the outdoor sensor in or under water!
Only operate the outdoor sensor with the transparent protective cover on.
Install the outdoor sensor in a way so that it is positioned vertically/upright and the LC display
points upward. Otherwise, water can get into the outdoor sensor and destroy it.
