– To ensure that SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round slings can assume a flat, wide
cross-section, there must be a sufficiently wide support on both the crane hook and the
load.

Excessive lateral confinement (crushing) of the sling leads to loss of load-bearing
capacity!
4.4.3 Attaching to the load
– SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round slings must be attached to the load in such a way
that it cannot slip or slide during the lifting process.
– For loads with sharp edges or rough surfaces, use suitable edge protection or cover the
surface.
– The part of the load to which the SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round sling is attached
must be able to absorb the force applied.
– Do not attach the sling around the area of the label so that it is not damaged.
– Never lift or lower the load abruptly! The resulting forces cannot be controlled. The
SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round slings can tear or be damaged.
To shorten it, the SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round sling can be placed around a crane
hook with sufficient contact surface

5 Maintenance
The term maintenance includes cleaning, repair and disposal.
5.1 Cleaning
Clean soiled SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round slings. The following requirements apply
to cleaning:
– Chemical contamination must be considered separately. In this case, please contact the
manufacturer / SpanSet.
– Cleaning in industrial washing machines is possible (note: no metal parts).
– Use of commercially available detergent with a
– pH value < 10 (check the pH value).
– Temperature setting up to max. 30 °C.
– Do not spin-dry products.
– Allow to dry in a dry, dark and well-ventilated room.
5.2 Repair
Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer or a person authorised by the
manufacturer.
