3.3 Residual risks
Danger! Death or serious injury to persons due to falling loads if the SpanSet Ma-
gnum® Plus Flex round slings are used in a prohibited manner. Only use SpanSet
Magnum® Plus Flex round slings as intended (see 3.1 Intended use).
3.4 Operator obligations
The operator of SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round slings has at least the following
obligations:
– Ensure that the safety regulations and recommendations for action in these instructions
are implemented.
– Determine and implement all health and safety measures.
– Determination of inspection and maintenance intervals.
– Instruction and training of the target groups (see 1.2 Target groups).
– Documentation of the inspections.

4.2 Before first use
– The commissioning must be documented on the information label
digital or analogue form, which determines the operationally specified test intervals
and the follow-up tests.
– Check whether the SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round sling corresponds to the order.
– Check delivery for completeness.
– Visual inspection for damage.
4.3 Before each use
– Visual inspection for damage: Damaged SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round slings
can be repaired if necessary (see 5 Maintenance). SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round
slings that cannot be repaired must not be used and must be disposed of immediately.
– Visually inspect for soiling or the effects of acids or alkalis or other chemical materials
and substances: Clean SpanSet Magnum® Plus Flex round slings that are soiled or
