6. Description and assembly of the components
Connecting the camera
Hitachi HV D20
• To connect the camera, use the special cam-
era lead supplied. This has a 15-pin plug at one
end and three connection ports at the other.
Connect the "Multi" port (28.1) at the back of the
camera (15-pin plug) to the videodigitising card
(44-pin plug) which has been built into the PC
at the factory, to the power supply and, for the
fl uorescence version, to the Com2 interface of
the PC.
Leica DFC
• Connect the camera to the fi rewire port of your
PC.

Connection to the Power Supply
• Connect the electronics box to the power sup-
ply using the power cable (24.8) and connect
the laser box to the power supply using the po-
wer cable (27.1).
• For the fl uorescence version only:
Connect the EL6000 compact light source to
the power supply (29.3), too.
