Setting The Clock
Refer to the "QUICK OPERATION" section.

The time is shown
in the 24-hour mode. "12:00" indicates noon,
"0:00" indicates midnight.

The hours
and
minutes
advance
when
the UP button
is pressed
and decrease
when
the DOWN
button
is pressed.
Press the but-
tons once to change the hours or minutes by 1, or hold them in to
change the hours or minutes continuously.

After setting the minutes, press the MEMORY
button at the sound
of the chime of a time service to set the exact time.
@
Incase the clock display is flashing after a power failure, reset the
clock and the timer.
Wake-up Timer

Make sure the clock is set to the correct time before using the
timer.
@
Once this timer is set, the operation can be performed each day
at the set times (one on time and one off time per day).
1.
Set the on/off times and the station to be played. See the following
section "Setting The On And Off Times".

Example: To start reception of the station at 6:30 a.m. and stop at 7:30
a.m.
2.
Receive the station for the program you want to wake up to.

Adjust the volume and tone.
3.
Set the POWER switch to off.

Check that the TIMER ON and TIMER OFF indicators are lit.
NOTES:

Be sure to set both the on and off times when using the timer.
—
The timer cannot be used with CDs or tapes.
—
Do not use the times for unattended recording since damage may
occur to the pinch roller and tape.
Setting The On And Off Times
1.
Switch on the cassette receiver's power.
2.
Press the TIMER ON button, then press the MEMORY button within
5 seconds.

3.
Press the UP or DOWN button to set the hours to "6".
4.
Press the MEMORY button.

The minutes place starts flashing.
Press the UP or DOWN button to set the minutes to "30".
Press the MEMORY button.

The TIMER ON indicator turns off and the TIMER OFF indicator
lights.

Press the UP or DOWN button to set the hours to "7".
Press the MEMORY button.

Checking The Set Times
Press the TIMER ON button to display the on time.
Press the TIMER OFF button to display the off time.

The current time display reappears after 5 seconds if the current
time is displayed.
To Stop The Timer
Press the TIMER CANCEL
button.

The TIMER ON and TIMER OFF indicators turn off and the CANCEL
indicator lights.
Press the TIMER CANCEL button again to start the timer.

The CANCEL indicator turns off and the TIMER ON and TIMER OFF
indicators light.

Using The REM-M92 Remote Control
The remote control emits an invisible infrared beam, which carries the
control signals to the sensor window on the front panel of the cassette
receiver.
Because
the infrared beam
travels
in a straight line. the
Transmitter Window
on the remote contro! must be pointed toward the
infrared sensor window on the cassette receiver. Make sure that there
are no objects between the remote control and the cassette receiver
that might block the beam.
The infrared wireless remote control can operate the following system
functions, provided the system components that you have are equipped
with these functions, from a distance of up to 10 meters:
CD: FBACK, FFWD, STOP, PLAY/PAUSE.

If the VOLUME LEVEL indicator on the cassette receiver is not flashing:
1)
Press this button once.

The VOLUME LEVEL indicator flashes.
No sound will be heard through the speakers.
2)
Press this button again, or press the VOLUME
UP button, to hear
sound through the speakers.

The VOLUME LEVEL indicator stops flashing.
