Presetting (Memorizing) Stations
Up to 6 stations each for the FM 1, FM 2 or FM 3 band (a total of 18) and
6 stations for the MW
and LW bands can be preset.
1.
Press the CLOCK/FREQ button to select the frequency display.

The CLOCK indicator turns off.
2.
Press the MW/LW
or FM-1/2/3 Band Select button to select the
band of the station you want to preset.
3.
Tune in the station to be preset.
4.
Press the MEMORY
button.

The MEMORY
indicator tights.
5.
Press one of the STATION buttons while the MEMORY indicator is
lit (about 5 seconds}. The selected station is now stored in the
tuning memory.

<4 (One-way mode):
Playback:
Playback with DECK 1 will start from the forward or reverse side
of the tape. (If the DECK 1 STOP/EJECT button is pressed, and then
the DECK 1 PLAY button is pressed, during playback of the re-
verse side of the DECK 1 tape, playback will start in the reverse
direction.) The tape will stop at the end of the forward or reverse
side.
Playback with DECK 2 will always start in the forward direction.
The tape will stop at the end of its forward side.
For One-way mode playback of the reverse side of the tape:
Select the One-cycle mode, during playback of the forward side
of the tape, and press the DECK
1 or DECK 2 Direction Select
switch. The DECK 1 or DECK 2 DIRECTION MODE switch will be
reset to the One-way mode. The tape will stop at the end of its re-
verse side.
Recording or Dubbing:
Recording or dubbing will always start from the forward side of the
tape. It is not possible to start recording or dubbing from
the re-
verse side of the tape. The tape will stop at the end of its forward
side.

(One-cycle mode):
Make sure that DECK 1 is started in the forward direction.
Playback, recording, or dubbing wilt always start from the forward
side of the tape. The tape's direction will be reversed at the end
of its forward side, and playback, recording, or dubbing wiil con-
tinue. The tape will stop at the end of its reverse side, and the
DECK 1 or DECK 2 DIRECTION MODE switch will be reset to the
One-way mode.
NOTE:
When
performing One-cycle mode
recording or dubbing, make
Sure that the erase guard tabs have not been broken out of the
cassette tape. If the reverse side erase guard tab has been broken
out, the DECK
2 DIRECTION
MODE
switch will be reset to the
One-way mode.

DOLBY NR Switch
DOLBY Noise Reduction reduces noise during recording and playback.

a) To record using DOLBY noise reduction.
b) To play tapes recorded with DOLBY noise reduction.

OFF:
a) To record without using DOLBY noise reduction.
b) To play tapes recorded without DOLBY noise reduction.

Press the PLAY button.
