4. DESCRIPTION OF THE CHAIR
This chapter provides an overview of the design and functions of the chair. If possible read whilst
near the chair to get optimally acquainted to the machine.

4.1 Operating range

With this beautiful and high-quality furniture you will always sit comfortably and relaxed.
Additionally the integrated stand-up aid supports your mobility – it lifts you safe and slow
into a standing position or lets you adjust your preferred sitting or TV-watching position.
Seat and backrest are ergonomically formed and gently give support to your back and legs.
Using the remote control you can choose yourself how far you want to rise or recline the
foot- and backrest or how much support you want for standing up and sitting down.
The GGT Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gerontotechnik (German
Association for Gerontology technology) has tested TOPRO
rise- and recline-chairs in individual user tests and certified them
as good. They test all products with seniors in daily use scenarios
for user friendliness and ease-of-use.

4.2 Description of functions

Chairs Modena and Siena
These chairs are the most versatile and cosy that TOPRO has developed to date. They can be
adjusted in many ways - from comfortable sitting to a reclined TV-watching position. The remote
control can be connected on both sides of the chair – left or right. Big colourful buttons make it
easy to use.

1 . Backrest (has to be attached; see Chapter 5.5.2)
2. Armrest (on both sides)
3. Seating area
4. Footrest
5. Stand-up mechanism (not visible because under chair)
6. Remote control (installed on the right side, can be moved to the left side by authorized dealer)
