To undo it, just push the buckle lever forwards. If the adjustment of the catch
is insu ficient it can also be moved forwards or backwards (+- 18 mm) by simply
removing the attachment screw. Reposition the catch to the most suitable hole and
replace the screw. Both buckles have a micro-adjustment screw to ensure perfect fit.
Once you have completed adjustment, make sure that the buckles are facing the right
way round, with the flat side facing outwards.
• ULTRA LOCK STRAP: In order to further enhance control and precision during
descents, the Radical is fitted with an upper strap which uses an innovative closure
system (patent pending). This enables the strap to be opened rapidly using just one
hand; simply pull the loop with a finger. The micrometric closure means that it is
possible to keep the strap closed at its maximum extension during ascents, thus
avoiding having it hang down the side of the boot.
• WALK/ASCENT MODE: to use the boot in walk mode, push the lever at the rear of the
cuff up to the "WALK" position to unlock the mechanism, and completely open the
Ultra Lock Strap by pulling on the special loop. Finally, place the buckle wires into
the seventh moveable tooth. This simple movement will enable you to walk with great
agility and freedom of movement.
• DOWNHILL MODE: Close the buckles starting with the lowest one and working upwards,
finishing with the Ultra Lock Strap. When the buckles are closed, move the lever at the
back of the cuff down and flex forwards; the mechanism will lock automatically.
WARNING: Verify that cuff's buckle was tight to the cuff. The ULTRA LOCK SYSTEM
2.0 is thought to be closer to the cuff compared to the 1.0 version. If you don't see
the buckle properly extended as the picture (1), simply pull the cable forward. This
shrewdness will extend the lifespan and the reliability of your boot. The buckle works
better if the velcro band is fully open.
• SPOILER WITH ADJUSTABLE FORWARD LEAN: The Radical boot has been designed
with a spoiler fitted with an interchangeable insert, allowing the modification of the ski
mode forward lean angle of the cuff by 3°. To increase the initial configuration angle,
completely open all boot buckles, remove the inner boot, and with a torx key unscrew
the two screws which hold the insert to the centre of the spoiler. Remove the insert,
and replace with the one supplied in the box, replace the two screws and the t-nut and
tighten securely.
THERMOFORMABLE LINERS: Always refer to an authorized Dynafit retailer when molding
your liners. In order to get the best fit and to be covered by the warranty we recommend
using only blowing heat towers shown on the picture (2) and not others heating systems.
MOLDING LINERS: Remove the footbed (if present) before heating the liner. Warm up
the liner with air blowing heating system. Do all shaping with the liner in the boot, do not
warm up the liners separately from the shells to avoid damaging them. During the heating
time prepare your feet wearing the socks you usually use during the activity, put the toe
caps on your toes in order to gain room on the toe box (3) and the Nylon socks useful to
