Getting started
General information
Carefully unpack the Caruso R and store the original packing material carefully. The carton and packing
are specially designed for the Caruso R and will be needed again if you wish to move the equipment at any
time. If you have to transport the Caruso R, it must always be carried or sent in its original packaging in
order to prevent damage and defects.

All the components we use meet the German and European safety norms and standards which are
currently valid. This product complies with the EU directives. The declaration of conformity can be

ATTENTION!
The device carries hazardous voltages inside the enclosure. Therefore the device must not
be opened. There is a risk of fatal electric shock.
The device may only be opened by a qualified specialist. Repairs and the replacement of
fuses must be carried out by an authorised specialist workshop. Apart from the procedures
described in the operating instructions, no other work may be carried out on the unit by the
user.

Caution!
Instructions marked with this symbol must be strictly observed for trouble-free and safe
operation of the device.
This symbol marks direct voltages (DC).
Only connect devices to sockets with this symbol that are suitable for the specified voltage.
This symbol marks alternating voltages (AC).
The AC voltage required for the device can be found on the printing at the mains input
socket. Do not connect the device to other power supplies.
This symbol marks the protective earth connector (ground connection).
The unit is designed for operation at a protective earth conductor socket.
