Mounting
Selecting a
The distybase uno exant is designed for wall mounting in interior rooms.

Please note that the device must not be fitted in the immediate vicinity of
location
any other electronic devices such as hi-fi systems, office machines, satellite
receivers or microwave ovens. This prevents any interference between the
devices. In addition, the device should not be installed near heat sources
(e.g. radiators or in direct sunlight).
Radio coverage
The distybase uno exant must be able to establish a radio link to the
registered distybox 300/5000. Before determining the final mounting
position, you should therefore check that your desired location ensures
the optimum connection quality. The position of the aerial is a critical
factor here.
Owing to the digital transmission in the frequency range used, there may
be radiowave "blind spots" even within the specified range, depending on
the layout of the building. This results in a loss of transmission quality.
However, just a small change in position will often restore normal
transmission.
Wall mounting
Follow the steps given below to install the distybase uno exant:
1. Drill two 6 mm diameter holes into the wall at a distance of 60 mm
apart.
2. Insert the rawlplugs and screw in the screws until they protrude
approx. 5 mm clear of the wall.
3. Connect the external aerial to the
appropriate socket.
4. Connect the distybase uno exant to the
power supply.
5. Connect your analogue telephone
connection to the distybase uno exant
using the cable supplied.
6. Mount the distybase uno exant onto the
screws.

Commissioning
2.1
Registering the distybox 300/5000
distybox 300/5000 must be registered on the distybase uno exant
before they can be used.
Please note that no more than six distybox 300/5000 can be
registered on the distybase uno exant.
Proceed as follows to register the distybox 300/5000:
1. Connect the AC adapter to your distybase uno exant. Insert the AC
adapter into a power socket.
2. During the registration process, the distybox 300/5000 should be
located close to the distybase uno exant or the connected aerial.
3. Start the registration procedure on the distybase uno exant by
pressing the Register button until the LED starts flashing.
4. Start the registration procedure on your distybox 300/5000. This
process is described in the operating instructions for your distybox
300/5000. Use 0000 as the PIN or access code (AC).
5. The registration process is complete when the LED goes out. The
distybox 300/5000 is automatically assigned the next free internal
phone number (from 1-6). If the registration process has not been
successfully completed within around one minute, repeat the
process.
6. To register further distybox 300/5000 units, repeat steps 2-5.
2.2
Deregistering the distybox 300/5000
Proceed as follows to deregister the distybox 300/5000:
1. Unplug the AC adapter from the socket.
2. Press the Register button on the distybase uno exant and hold it
down.
3. Insert the AC adapter into a power socket.
4. Release the Register button after around 10 seconds.
5. All distybox 300/5000 units will be deregistered from the distybase
uno exant.
