Use
3.1.5 Switching off the communication unit
Press the ON/OFF button for at least 3 seconds.

The LED flashes green and an acoustic signal indicates that the
communication unit is switched off.
3.1.6 Switching off the voice amplifier unit
1. Turn on the communication unit.
2. Keep the ON/OFF button pressed for approx. 8 seconds. Ignore
the shut-off signal when doing this.
A visual and acoustic signal indicate whether the voice amplifier
unit is switched off.
The voice amplifier unit is switched off, the radio connection is still working.
3.1.7 Adjusting the volume

Press and hold down the volume controller for half a second
each time. Simply touching it does not change the setting.
To increase the volume, press the volume controller repeatedly

forward until the desired level is reached.
To reduce the volume, press the volume controller repeatedly

backward until the desired level is reached.
An acoustic signal indicates that the volume has been adjusted. Another
acoustic signal indicates that no further volume level is available.
3.1.8 Selecting another group ("TeamTalk" function)

Press and hold down the group selector switch for half a second
each time. Simply touching it does not change the setting.

Press the group selector switch repeatedly until the desired group

is selected.
The respective group is announced.
3.1.9 Switching the "TeamTalk" function to standby
NOTICE

"Standby" is a group which is configured in the configuration
software. Dräger recommends defining standby as a default
setting. A deliberate group allocation at the site of operation
is then possible.
Press and hold down the group selector switch for half a second
each time. Simply touching it does not change the setting.
Keep pressing the group switch until "Standby" appears.

3.1.10 Configuring or updating the communication unit
1. Fit the insert for the configuration cable.
2. Plug the configuration cable into a USB port on the PC.
3. Start the C7 configuration software on the PC.

Preparations before first use

1. Fit the suitable insert (see chap. 3.2.1 on page 31).
2. Insert the batteries (see chap. 5.2.1 on page 37).
3. Attach the communication unit to the full face mask (see
chap. 3.2.2 on page 31).
CAUTION

During assembly work the specified torques must be
observed since the communication unit could otherwise be
damaged. Use a suitable tool!
