XI. Storage
y Store the power tool in a safe, dry location that is out
of reach of children and protect it against mechanical
damage, direct sunlight, temperature greater than
40°C, frost, high humidity and ingression of water. Prior
to storing the power tool, take the battery out of it.
y Protect the battery against rain, frost, high humidity,
temperatures above 50°C, against mechanical damage
(e.g. being dropped) and never open or burn it.
Store the battery fully charged and to ensure the
longest possible lifetime fully charge it after several
months (no later than after 6 months).
y The battery capacity is significantly reduced in
freezing and high ambient temperatures and it is
also damaged by these temperatures.
y Protect the battery contacts against soiling, deformation
or other damage and prevent conductive bridging of the
battery contacts by taping over the connectors, e.g. using
plastic tape, to prevent the battery from short-circuiting,
which could result in a subsequent fire or explosion.
y Ensure that children do not play with the battery or the
shears.
XII. Waste disposal
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
AT THE END OF ITS LIFETIME
y According to Directive (EU) 2012/19, unusable
electrical equipment must not be thrown
out with communal waste since it con-
tains compounds that are hazardous to
the environment, but rather is handed
over for ecological disposal at an electrical equipment
waste collection point. Prior the electrical equipment
being disposed of, the battery must be removed from
the electrical equipment and handed over at a battery
collection point separately. You can find information
about electrical equipment waste and battery collecti-
on points and collection conditions at your local town
council office or at your vendor.

BATTERY AT THE END OF ITS LIFETIME
y An unusable battery in the electrical equipment must be taken out of the electrical equipment prior
to the disposal of the electrical equipment; must not be thrown out with communal waste or into the
environment, but rather must be handed over for ecological disposal/recycling at a battery collection
point because it contains environmentally hazardous substances.
You can find information about these collection points at your local town council office or at your vendor.
