Brief instructions
These brief instructions are offering a quick start on the easyFly 4 Starter Edition. For a better understanding
we recommend to read the detailed instructions, as only this way you will utilize the full potential of the simu-
lator and avoid possible problems during set up. You will find the complete instructions after installation in the
Adobe PDF format on your hard drive (Path: "Start/Programs/easyFly 4 Starter Edition/easyFly 4 Instruction")
To read the file the Adobe Reader software is required. In case you do not have this program on your compu-
ter, you may download and install the latest version directly from www.adobe.com.
1. Installing easyFly 4 Starter Edition
easyFly 4 SE is using the Windows Autostart feature to automatically install the software. Just place the CD
in your CDROM drive. The installation will start automatically and the start screen of the set up program will
be displayed (in case the automatic starting feature of your PC is switched off, just start the „setup.exe" com-
mand on your inserted CD manually). Here you may decide in which language easyFly 4 SE will be installed.
The langu ages English and German are available. You may change the language at anytime during operati-
on. Here the languages French, Japanese and Russian are available in addition. During the installation your
DirectX version will be checked and if necessary updated, as otherwise easy Fly 3SE will not work correctly.
After the installation you may be prompted to Restart Windows.
2. Connecting the USB Game Commander
Now connect the USB Game Commander to a free USB port on your PC. The unit will automatically recognize
Windows XP/Vista/ 7. This process takes only a few seconds. There is no need to install a driver
3. Starting easyFly 4 SE
To start the easyFly 4 first select "Programs" in the Windows Start Menu, then the folder "easyFly 4 Starter
Edition". Select the entry "Start easyFly 4". Alternatively you may start "easyFly 4" by double clicking on the
"easyFly 4" icon on your Windows desk top. The installation software automatically placed this icon on your
Windows desk top.
4. Selecting a model
After starting the "easyFly 4 SE" program the main menu will appear
with a model rotating in the center of the screen. Now you may select
a different model from the included 6 models available (Cularis, ECO
7, F-84, Lama, Extra 330S, PT-40 Trainer). To select a new model, just
click on the button "Model". Select a model and left click with the mou-
se on the selected model, which will now get a blue background. The
selected model will appear with a brief description in the right section of
the window. Now click the button "Load". The selected model will rotate
in the center of the menu screen after loading.
5. Selecting the scenery
Now you select the scenery in which you want to fly your model. The-
re are 4 sceneries available in the standard software package. Click
on the button "Scenery" and select a scenery in the following window.
The new scenery will appear as a preview on the note pad in the up-
per right section of the main menu. easyFly 4 SE offers two different
types of sceneries: photographic (Marxzell, Barbados and US-Lincoln-
Sky-Knights) and 3D (computer genera ted) sceneries (Hawaii). As the
name says photographic sceneries are photo realistic. In these scene-
ries you cannot change your the viewing point making the follow and
