6.9 Appliance operation

The instantaneous water heater can still be operated in the usual
way; the internal programming unit is fully integrated into the dy-
namic anti-scalding protection concept (see also chapter "Dynamic
anti-scalding protection").
6.10 Changing the battery
The wireless programming unit is powered by 2 lithium batter-
ies (type CR123A / CR17345). If a battery change is required, the
symbol appears on the display.

f Always remove spent batteries. f
Any damage caused by a leaking battery is excluded from
the warranty.
f To change the batteries, unscrew the lower part of the casing f
and replace both batteries in the battery holders. Ensure the
correct polarity of the batteries. Always use batteries of iden-
tical type and replace both batteries together.
During the battery change, the stored values for buttons
are retained.
Battery disposal
Never dispose of batteries with domestic waste. Spent
batteries may contain noxious substances that can be det-
rimental to the environment and human health. Dispose
of spent batteries through your dealer or via a central
recycling point for special waste.

f When installing the lower part of the casing, make f
sure that the gasket lies correctly in the casing top in
order to maintain the leak tightness of the program-
ming unit.
6.11 Information on transmission paths
Special conditions inside buildings can result in weakening of the
transmission path spread. In such cases, the range of the remote
control can be reduced. "CON" appears on the display if the con-
nection with the appliance cannot be established.
The frequency range used (868.3 MHz) is also freely available for
use by other applications (wireless thermostats, weather stations
with wireless transmission, wireless headphones, etc.). Therefore
the transmission path to the instantaneous water heater may be
disrupted if other devices are transmitting at the same time. This
does not pose any risk. It will not cause an unintentional change
in the set temperature, for example. However in this case it may
mean that a transmitted set temperature is not recognised by the
receiver. In such instances, you will need to repeat the setting.
6.12 Wall mounting bracket
The wall retainer included in the standard delivery can be installed
in any location by the user and used to stored the wireless pro-
gramming unit.
7. Care
Use a damp cloth to clean the components. Never use abrasive or
corrosive cleaning agents.
