Removing the Battery
► Place the push sweeper on a level surface.

► Press both locking levers (1).
The battery (2) is now unlocked and can be
removed.

► Manually move the rocker switch (1) to posi‐
tion I.
The circular brushes and sweeper drum
assembly begin to turn.

► Set the rocker switch to position 0.
► Wait until the circular brushes and the
sweeper drum assembly no longer turn.
► If the circular brushes and the sweeper drum
assembly continue to turn: Remove the battery
and contact your STIHL authorized dealer for
assistance.
The push sweeper malfunctions.

Switching the push sweeper on
► Insert the battery.
► Set the rocker switch to position I.
The circular brushes and sweeper drum
assembly begin to turn.

► If 3 LEDs are flashing red: Remove the battery
and consult a STIHL authorized dealer.
The push sweeper malfunctions.
► Set the rocker switch to position 0.
Wait until the circular brushes and the
sweeper drum assembly no longer turn.
► If the circular brushes and the sweeper drum
assembly continue to turn: Remove the battery
and contact your STIHL authorized dealer for
assistance.
The push sweeper malfunctions.

Testing the Battery
► Press button on battery.
The LEDs glow or flash.
► If the LEDs do not glow or flash: Do not use
the battery and contact your STIHL servicing
dealer.
There is a malfunction in the battery.
12 Working with the push

Holding and guiding the push
sweeper
► Hold the push handle with both hands so that
your thumbs wrap around the push handle.
12.2
Adjusting the Height of the Cir‐
cular Brushes
The height of the circular brushes can be set to 7
positions, depending on the application.
– Stage 1 and Stage 2: for level surfaces
– Stage 3 and Stage 4: for uneven surfaces, wet
leaves or sand
– Stage 5 to Stage 7: for readjustment when the
bristles are worn down
The bristles of the circular brushes must only rest
on the ground with light pressure. Excessive sur‐
face pressure will accelerate wear and tear and
reduces the operating time of the battery.
