Cooling Water Level Alarm
NOTE! Wire harness not included in the kit! Wires
are purchased separately (min wire area 0,75 mm
and in colours indicated in the installation instruction.
Installation Instruction
1. Peel the wires and connect the wire terminals and
the sleeve insulators in accordance with picture no
1 or 2. Picture no 1 indicates wiring-up where only
the cooling water level alarm is installed. Picture no
2 indicates the wiring-up of the alarm unit of AB Volvo
Penta for several alarm functions (oil level, water in
the fuel, cooling water level and extra alarm).
2. Install the relay base (1) in a suitable location and
connect the relay (2).
3. Install the level sensor (3) in the expansion tank.
4. Remove the protective plastic from the back side
of the instrument panel and plug in the contact (4).
Function (valid for wiring-up in accordance with
picture no 1).
When the key is turned from 0-position to running
position and the cooling water level should be
insufficient, the lamp is on with a constant light, no
buzzer alarm. (Wait for at least 5 seconds with the
key in 0-position before the second test). NOTE! The
alarm is operating prior to start only, not during
running.
The function of the AB Volvo Penta alarm unit,
installed as per picture no 2, is described in the
installation instruction, which you will find in the alarm
unit box.

Hinweis! Die Verkabelung ist nicht im Satz enthal-

ten. Kabel sind separat zu kaufen (Kabelquerschnitt

mind. 0,75 mm
), die Kabelfarben sind in der Einbau-
anleitung angegeben.
Einbauanleitung
1. Kabel abschälen, Kabelstecker und -Buchsen ge-
mäß Bild 1 oder Bild 2 anschließen. Bild 1 zeigt ei-
nen Anschluß, wo nur ein Kühlwasserstandalarm
montiert wird. Bild 2 zeigt einen Anschluß, bei dem
die Alarmeinheit für mehrere Alarmzustände von Volvo
Penta (Ölstand, Wasser im Kraftstoff, Kühlwassers-
tand und zusätzlicher Alarm) eingebaut wird.
2. Relaissockel (1) an einer geeigneten Stelle ein-
bauen und Relais (2) anschließen.
3. Kühlmittelstandwächter (3) im Ausgleichbehälter
einbauen.
4. Kunststoffschutz von der Rückseite der
Instrumententafel abnehmen und Kontakt (4) anschlie-
ßen.
Funktion (gilt für Anschluß gem. Bild 1).
Wenn der Startschlüssel von der Nullstellung in die
Fahrstellung gedreht wird und der Kühlwasserstand
zu niedrig ist, leuchtet die Lampe mit festem Schein,
kein Alarmsummer ertönt. (Vor der nächsten Prü-
fung ist mindestens 5 Sekunden mit dem Schlüssel
in 0-Stellung abzuwarten). Hinweis! Der Alarm funk-
tioniert nur vor dem Anlassen, nicht bei Betrieb.
Die Funktion der Alarmeinheit von Volvo Penta, ein-
gebaut gem. Bild 2, ist in der beigefügten Einbauan-
leitung beschrieben.
