While the AP-D30/D30C is factory adjusted to accommo-
date Model PC-90 cartridge, with the proper adjustments
as outlined in this manual, any Moving Coil or Moving
Magnet type cartridge can be used.
. The AP-D30/D30C employs a self-lubricating DC Servo
Motor so that no further lubrication is required.
. As dust or other foreign matter adhering to the stylus or
cartridge
causes
stylus and
disc
damage
as well
as
deterioration of tone quality, the stylus must be kept clean.
Clean gently with a very soft brush. Care must be taken not
to touch or jar the stylus.
Place guard over stylus when not in use.
. If the stylus is worn or the disc damaged, distorted or
uneven sound will prevail during playback. If the stylus
appears to be worn, replace immediately.
. Howling during playback is most often caused by improper
speaker placement. If the speakers are too close to the
player, the stylus will pick up their vibration. Also avoid
placing the turntable on top of the speakers.
. As most cartridges are highly sensitive and susceptible to
the influence of the surrounding magnetic field, care must
be taken not to place the unit within the pick-up range of
motor driven appliances.
. When connecting the turntable and amplifier, place the
turntable
in the opposite
direction
of the amplifier's
transformer to avoid pick-up of noise generated by the
amplifier.
Don't stop the platter while it is in motion.
Do not stop the tone arm by hand during auto-return.
Should there be a problem with your machine, write down the
model
and serial numbers
and all pertinent data regarding
warranty coverage as well as a clear description of the existing
trouble and contact your nearest authorized Akai Service Sta-
tion or the Service Department of Akai Company, Tokyo,
Japan.

. Garder l'aiguille extrémement propre, car les poussieres ou

voquer une détérioration de la tonalité. Nettoyer douce-
ment avec une brosse trés souple. Prendre soin de ne pas
toucher ou faire dévier l'aiguille.
Mettre la protection sur l'aiguille lorsque l'appareil n'est pas utilisé.
. Lorsque l'aiguille est usée ou le disque endommagé, le son
émis durant la reproduction sera déformé ou irrégulier.
Lorsque l'aiguille semble
usée, ia remplacer
immediate-
ment.
. Un mauvais placemént
des haut-parleurs est la cause la
plus fréquence d'un ronflement durant la lecture. L'aiguille
captera les vibrations
provenant
des haut-parleurs
si la
table de lecture est placée trop pres de ceux-ci. Eviter
également de placer la table de lecture sur les haut-par-
leurs.
. Eviter de placer l'unité prés d'appareillages entrainés par
moteur, car la plupart des cellules sont trés sensibles et
peuvent étre influencées par le champ magnétique environ-
nant.
. Lors
du
raccordement
de
la table
de
lecture
et
de
l'amplificateur, il est recommandé de placer la table de lec-
ture
dans
la direction
opposée
au
transformateur
de
l'amplificateur, afin d'éviter que les vibrations engendreées
par |'amplificateur ne soient captées.
Ne pas arréter le plateau lorsqu'il est en mouvement.
Ne pas arréter manuellement le bras acoustique pendant le
retour automatique.
En cas de probléme avec votre appareil, noter les numeéros du
modele
et de
série,
tous
les renseignements
concernant
l'étendue de la garantie ainsi qu'une description claire des
défaillances techniques. Prendre contact avec la "Station de
Service Akai" autorisée la plus proche ou la "'Section Entre-

stellen

in die
entgegengesetzte
Richtung

Verstarker-Transfor-

die Aufnahme

Verstarker ausgehen zu vermeiden.
Stoppen
Sie die Unterlageplatten
nicht, wahrend
sie in
Bewegung ist.
Stoppen
Sie den Tonarm
wahrend
der automatischen
Riickfiihrung nicht von Hand.
Falls bei Ihrem
Gerat
irgendwelche
Probleme
auftreten,
notieren Sie sich die Modell- und Seriennummern und alle
erforderlichen Angaben, die die Garantiedeckung betreffen,
sowie eine genaue Beschreibung der aufgetretenen Schwie-
rigkeit und setzen sich mit Ihrer nachstgelegenen Akai-kun-
dendienststelle oder mit der Kundendienstabteilung der Firma
Akai, Tokyo, Japan in Verbindung.
