Installing the wheel
Using a quick release
1. Install the wheel according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Using a RWS system
1. Lubricate the axis of the RWS with suitable multi-purpose grease.
2. Remove the nut, push the RWS through the hub and screw the nut back on.
3. Position the wheel between the fork dropouts ( ).
4. Hold the nut in place, turn the lever in a clockwise direction and secure as tightly as possible
by hand (min. 15 Nm).
5. Lift the RWS lever (
6. Check to ensure the wheel is secured correctly in the frame or fork.
7. Opening the RWS: Hold the nut in place and turn the lever in an anti-clockwise direction.
Using a thru axle RWS
1. Remove the thru axle from the fork.
2. Lightly grease the thru axle and the thru axle thread.
3. Position the wheel between the fork dropouts ( ).
4. Push the thru axle through the dropouts and hub.
5. Turn the lever in a clockwise direction and secure as tightly as possible by hand (min. 15 Nm).
6. Lift the RWS lever (

8. Opening the RWS: Turn the lever anti-clockwise.

3. Check the freedom of movement of all of the components.

Checking the fork
1. Check that the fork and wheel are installed free from play.
2. Check the freedom of movement of the wheel used.
3. Check the functionality of the fork.
4. In the event of problems or malfunctions, contact your retailer or a DT Swiss Service Centre.
