TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

Fault
While drawing off steam or hot
water, the pressure falls back
completely immediately after
switching on the machine.
During the draw off of steam or hot
water the pressure falls back below
0,4 bar.
Above the drip tray there is steam,
the pressure is normal (abt. 0,6 bar).
Above the drip tray there is steam,
the pressure is higher than normal
(> 0,6 bar).
The red LED at the front is
switched on, the appliance does
not heat any more.
The red LED is on and the green
one flashes, the appliance does
not heat anymore.
During draw off of hot water, the
red LED goes on and off.
The element does not switch on.
The water does not come out of
the water tap in a full flow.
Possible faults and solutions
discovered by you.

Possible cause

The steam boiler does not
desaerate during the heating
process.
The pressure valve does not
switch on fast enough.
The overpressure valve is open,
the seals are covered with scale.
The overpressure valve is open,
the pressure in the steam boiler is
too high (> 1 bar).
The minimum water level in the
steam boiler has been reached.
The solenoid valve was opened.
In this situation the water level has
not reached the max. water level
after 7 minutes. The appliance
shuts off.
The water level only reaches the
minimum level probe instead of the
maximum level probe.
The dry boil protection has been
activated.
The aerator in the tap is dirty

Solution
Check the ball and the o-ring in the
overpressure valve.
Test the pressure switch, open the
steam tap. The heating element
should switch on at abt. 0,4 – 0,5 bar.
Check the overpressure valve.
Check the overpressure switch, it
should switch off at abt. 0,6 bar.
Check the water supply.
Check the water supply and switch
off the machine for a short while.
Check if the maximum level probe
is covered with scale or if it has
contact with mass.
Reset the dry boil protection.
Check the heating element (did it
become too hot due to scale?)
Unscrew the end of the tap and
clean/ descale the aerator.
