could affect functionality. If the product is damaged it must
be repaired before using it again. Many accidents are caused
by poorly maintained battery-powered products.
Use the battery-powered product, accessories and bits etc. in
accordance with these instructions, with due consideration
to the actual working conditions and the work that is to be
done. It can be dangerous to use the product for purposes
other than those it is intended to be used for.
When the battery is not in use keep it away from metal
objects such as paper-clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and
other small metal objects that can short circuit the
terminals. Short circuiting discharges large amounts of
energy that can cause a fire and/or burn injuries.
Failure to handle the battery carefully can cause fluid to leak
from the battery. Avoid contact with battery fluid. On contact
with battery fluid, rinse immediately with plenty of fresh
water. If you get battery fluid in your eyes, rinse them with
clean water for at least 10 minutes and then seek medical
attention immediately. Battery fluid can cause skin irritation
and/or burns.
Do not expose battery-powered products or their batteries to
high temperatures – risk of explosion and/or personal injury.
Do not subject the battery to knocks or blows. Do not use
batteries or chargers that have been subjected to knocks or
blows. Damaged batteries can explode. Dispose of damaged
batteries in accordance with local regulations.
The close vicinity of sources of heat, for example a pilot
flame, can result in a risk of the battery exploding. To reduce
the risk of serious personal injury, never use cordless
products in the vicinity of naked flames. An exploding battery
can eject material and chemicals.
Do not charge battery-powered products in damp or wet
areas – risk of electric shock.
